A 30th and 1,000th Giveaway – Win an Amazon.com Gift Certificate!

Not too many days ago, I turned the big 3-0!  Right before that, I reached over 1,000 fans on Facebook.  It was all quite exciting and I thought doing a giveaway for one of my lucky readers to win an Amazon.com gift certificate would be a great way to celebrate both!  But, I wanted to wait until Graham and I got back from our trip before posting it…..so even though you may have seen the note regarding an upcoming giveaway on my Facebook page a couple weeks ago, I am here today with the actual giveaway as to not disappoint!

Win an Amazon.com gift certificate at WestStreetStory.com

I went back and forth with what to have as the prize.  I finally decided upon an Amazon.com gift certificate.  We used Amazon quite a bit to get ready for our trip {which I will be posting about very soon} and I love Amazon for all kinds of purchases.  In fact, when I really thought about it, Amazon.com is usually the first place I look before making an online purchase.  If you are a Prime member, like me, you also know how handy that free 2-day shipping can be {it has saved me in a pinch, when I needed something quickly, quite a few times}!

On top of all of the goodness I already love with Amazon.com, I recently discovered that you can actually give back to a charity when making purchases on Amazon.  Simply visit http://smile.amazon.com {it looks and acts just like Amazon, so you do not even know the difference}, choose your preferred charity, and a portion of your purchases will be given to that organization.  I mean, how cool is that?  All you have to do is make sure to use the http://smile.amazon.com website address {instead of just amazon.com}.  It could not be any easier to give back, would you agree?

If you need a suggestion for a worthy cause, my purchases are currently being rewarded to the Share – Pregnancy and Loss Support Inc Organization.  The mission of Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support, Inc. is to serve those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth or in the first few months of life. The primary purpose is to provide support toward positive resolution of grief experienced at the time of/or following the death of a baby.

Welcome back Jen! I hope you had a wonderful trip! I would spend an Amazon gift card towards the crazy expensive calculator that my High School Junior (eek!) daughter needs for the upcoming school year ($130 for a calculator — that’s nuts!!)

I’d either add it to my kids’ Christmas fund on Amazon or buy something for the house our family is remodeling.

I would buy myself a book by Kathy Reichs and my son and husband the xbox game that my son accidently ruined when he knocked over the console mid-game.
